Vegetables that are suggested to eat on the HCG Diet
The HCG diet is a concept introduced by Dr. Simeons in his book entitled Pounds and Inches and in this book, there are certain vegeteables that are allowed and prohibited while on the diet program. Eating any types of food, which is against the protocol, can bring adverse results. The HCG weight loss program comprises three phases – the loading, maintenance and stabilization phases. By the start of the loading phase, you can eat anything you like at any amount. This is done to prepare the body for the coming days when calorie intake will be decreased. The second phase is an integral part of the program since the dieter will not be taking only 500 calories. In this particular phase, vegetables should not be mixed. In the maintenance phase, there are no worries about going hungry or feeling week since the body will release 1500-2000 calories to serve as energy.
The stabilization phase then permits the dieter to raise their calorie intake. However, dieters should only eat the foods that are mentioned in the book to achieve optimum results in the course of 44 days. HCG diet plan works permanently since it helps burn fat and alter your eating habits. In the stabilization phase, the dieters lose their weight and the weight lost will be maintained. It is not rare for weight loss plateaus to occur but this can be controlled by eating an apple a day and having fiber-rich foods.
The following vegetables can be eaten while observing HCG diet: pumpkin, turnips, scallions, snow peas, eggplant, watercress, zucchini, spaghetti squash, mushrooms, cauliflower, green beans, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and summer squash. Non-starchy and starchy vegetables can also be eaten while on the diet program.
Non-starchy vegetables include spinach, tomatoes, radishes, fennel, salad greens, asparagus, cucumbers, and cabbage. Though they are allowed, you should limit the servings of non-starchy vegetables in your diet.
